At Kaplan, I helped to design an internal networking platform for the employees of a test preparation company. Unlike other popular networking services, Planet Test Prep is for a close circle of employees only, helping them connect through not only their work but their personal interests too.
BRAINSTORMING
Planet Test Prep is unique in that the demographic is us: we are the users of this social networking platform. The team along with other employees took our ideas to the whiteboard to brainstorm how to make Planet Test Prep as useful as possible.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Before continuing to the design, we needed to categorize the content. The structure needed to be flexible to incorporate any other user needs that may come along.

Time to sketch the layouts to get a rough idea of what our social network will look like.

Wireframes were structured to fit user needs. Users can connect to their employees, work related groups, work events, communicate in different ways.
